Essex Schools, Children and Families Service working with Support Companies   Continuing Professional development As ICT expectations continue to change rapidly so there is the need for CPD for colleagues in school particularly the person holding the role of First Level Support. Training is also necessary for the staff of the support partners that are employed by the school. ICT Team Support Partner School The ICT Team provide consultancy training and support for the schools  ICT subject leader, teachers and teaching assistants. RM and Ergo provide training for the First Level support person in the school. The ICT Team provide two meetings a year for Support Partners to discuss current issues and to become more aware of developing trends in ICT in schools. Support partners are encouraged to send their staff on relevant training courses linked to the products commonly found in Essex Schools. E.g.  RM provide training and accreditation under their ATSS scheme and RM Technical Seminars. Ensure that the ICT subject leader is away of the conferences, consultancy and course available to staff. Enrol the First Level support person on any appropriate courses available from the provider of the school's network. Check that your Support partner offers appropriate training to their technicians.
