Checklist
Use this checklist to identify any areas of network monitoring that have not yet been entirely successful. Then reinforce them by revisiting and re-implementing the relevant section of the FITS process.

Item
Related area to revisit
You have created a map of the physical and logical topology of your network.
You have had the cabling tested to ensure that it is not causing any underlying network issues.
You have implemented a suitable network monitoring method for your school.
You have established a baseline for your network to compare day-to-day measures against the normal operating environment.
You have implemented a regular network monitoring schedule to check network traffic, network equipment and server capacity.
You are producing regular network monitoring measurements such as server disk capacity or reports, using network- monitoring software, if available.

If the above characteristics are all true of your school, congratulations on implementing a successful network monitoring process! The next steps for you are to continue operating the process as described in the Network Monitoring operations guide and establish the process firmly. Work through this checklist at regular intervals to help you check that everyone responsible continues to carry out all aspects of the process. Using the links above, you can then address any shortfalls as they arise.
