Maintenance
  Regular maintenance is critical to the reliable working of the ICT infrastructure.

the maintenance tasks will need to be divided between the First level support and the external second level support providers. 

Some of the tasks on the network can be carried out remotely.


  The Maintenance team will need to:
   
 
  • Have an overview of regular maintenance that needs to be carried out and prepare a timetable for its impementation.
 
  • Enusure that the workstations are functioning correctly and that screens and keyboards are clean and safely arranged.
 
  • Perform network maintenance procedures and backups. Keep it fit for purpose by installing updates as they become available.
 
  • Support the teachers by adding and removing users on the network and ensuring that each user has the correct software allocated to them.
 
  • Update the asset registers
 
  • Checking availability of consumables
 
  • Carrying out preventative maintainence disaster recovery.
