Essex LA ICT team working with Becta Primary FITS

Getting started
|
|
|
This site is based on the Becta Framework for ICT
Technical support in Primary Schools (Primary FITS).
The aim is to provide Primary schools, Special schools and
Nurseries with the tools needed to ensure a strategic technical support system
for their curriculum network.
Schools can access all Becta FITS framework documents
through this site which will provide the overall ICT technical support
structure.
The benefits of using this framework include:

- It provides a system for managing ICT hardware resources
|
|
|
- It instils a prevention rather than cure culture in ICT
management and support
|
|
|
- It provides access to a list of technical support
providers that have been trained in using the BECTA FITS framework within Essex. Those schools
without a technician can search the
database to find local companies.
|
|
|
- It specifies a clear structure so that staff can easily
log any ICT hardware/software problems within the school with a system in place
for key members of staff to action those issues and if necessary pass
them to the Second level support (usually a technician from the schools
