ICT whole school improvement plan

What is it?
	Towards e-Maturity is a whole school ICT improvement package for Primary schools and Special schools. The package consists of Essex LA ICT Adviser consultations with Head Teachers and ICT subject leaders as well as personalised face to face training for teachers and assistants aimed at enhancing learning and teaching through embedding ICT across the curriculum. In addition, schools can experience new technologies in their classrooms through the loan of equipment in the 'Try before you buy' scheme.

Adviser consultations could include:
	Support with school's commitment to the Becta Next Generation Learning Charter
	Advice and support through the Becta Self Review Framework  process
	Hardware and software audits
	ICT Development plan advice and guidance
	Curriculum planning
Staff ICT audits will inform planning of Leading Teacher sessions. They could then include:
	Stop frame animation and making movies
	Scientific enquiry using data loggers
	Using multimedia to enhance the curriculum
	Engage with e-Folio Virtual Learning Community
	Smarter working with your whiteboard
	Podcasting – using loaned sets of ipods
